Global Toolbar

The Global Toolbar is your central control bar inside the App Builder. It floats above every page of your app and adapts automatically to the current view: global tools are always there, module-specific actions appear exactly when you need them.

Visible only in the App Builder

The Global Toolbar is only shown in App Builder mode. It is not present in the published Customer App, so your end users see a clean, undistracted UI.

What does the toolbar show?

The toolbar shows a combination of two button groups:

Group	Visibility	Examples
Global buttons	Always visible (across all pages)	Dark/Light mode, Help, Edit Mode, App Builder Tools, Web-Bridge
Module buttons	Only on the matching route	Forum settings, Feed templates, Shop products, …

A vertical divider automatically separates global from contextual buttons, so you can tell at any time which actions apply globally.

Where does it appear?

The toolbar appears on all main pages of your app. On a few pages it is intentionally hidden, so it doesn’t overlap specialized tooling:

• Page Builder & Page Editor (have their own editor toolbar)
• Form Builder & Form Editor (have their own editor toolbar)
• Onboarding & Welcome animations
• WebView pages (external content)
• Module Setup wizards
• Screenshot Studio & App Icon Studio (full-screen wizards)
• During quiz play mode

Keyboard behavior

When the on-screen keyboard opens, the toolbar is automatically hidden — except when search is active. In that case it stays visible above the keyboard so you can finish your search.

Getting started

1. Switch to App Builder mode Make sure you are in the App Builder (not the Customer App preview).

2. Enable Edit Mode Tap the pencil button in the toolbar or activate it via the Settings page. Only in Edit Mode do all editing buttons appear.

3. Try the search Tap the magnifier on the left of the toolbar and type e.g. “Theme” — you’ll jump straight to the Theme Suite.

4. Move the toolbar Drag the toolbar vertically to a comfortable position — it remembers it across app restarts.

5. Dock it Swipe the toolbar to the left or right edge: it transforms into a small indicator at the screen edge. Tap the indicator to expand it again.
