Add-ons
With add-ons you can offer optional extras for your products that customers can add via a checkbox on the product page — for example a greeting card enclosed with the parcel, or gift wrapping. Add-ons can be free or paid.
Add-ons are created once centrally and then enabled per product. So you set up “Greeting card” a single time and activate it for as many products as you like.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- You create an add-on in the central add-on pool (name, price, options).
- In the product editor you tick which add-ons should be available for that product.
- On the product detail page the customer sees the enabled add-ons and selects them via checkbox.
- The chosen add-ons appear in the cart, in the order, the confirmation email, and on the invoice & delivery note.

Fields in detail
Section titled “Fields in detail”| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The label of the add-on shown to the customer. Multilingual. |
| Paid | Toggle. Off = the add-on is free. On = a price field appears for the surcharge. |
| Price | Surcharge per item (only visible when “Paid” is on). |
| Quantity selectable | Toggle. Off = simple checkbox (exactly 1×). On = the customer can choose a quantity (e.g. 3 greeting cards). |
| Info text | Optional note. When set, an info icon appears next to the add-on for the customer. |
Free or paid
Section titled “Free or paid”Leave the Paid toggle off. The add-on is shown to the customer as “Free” and does not change the order total. Ideal for a card that you already keep in stock and simply enclose.
Turn Paid on and enter a price. The surcharge is added to the product price and shown to the customer as ”+ X.XX €”.
Info text for customers
Section titled “Info text for customers”If you provide an info text, a small info icon appears next to the add-on on the product page. When the customer taps it, a sheet opens with your note — perfect for explaining exactly what the add-on includes.
- Open the add-on for editing
- Enter your note in the Info text field (multilingual)
- Save
Assigning add-ons to a product
Section titled “Assigning add-ons to a product”- Open the product editor (Shop > Products > tap a product)
- Scroll to the Add-ons section
- Enable the add-ons that should be available for this product
- Save
How the customer sees it
Section titled “How the customer sees it”On the product detail page, the enabled add-ons appear below the product options, right above the “Add to cart” button:
- Without quantity selection: a checkbox per add-on, with name and price (or “Free”) next to it.
- With quantity selection: a quantity stepper (− / +) instead of the checkbox.
- With info text: an info icon that opens a note sheet.
The chosen add-ons and their surcharge then appear in the cart, in the order, the confirmation email to the business, and on the invoice and delivery note.
Editing or deleting an add-on
Section titled “Editing or deleting an add-on”- Open Shop > Add-ons
- Tap Edit or Delete on the desired add-on
- Confirm the safety prompt when deleting
Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”How does an add-on differ from a product variant?
Section titled “How does an add-on differ from a product variant?”A variant is a version of the same product (e.g. size or colour) — the customer picks exactly one. An add-on is an optional extra added on top of the product — the customer can select or deselect it, independent of the variants.
Can an add-on be free for one product and paid for another?
Section titled “Can an add-on be free for one product and paid for another?”No. The price of an add-on is set centrally in the pool and applies everywhere. If you need different prices, create two separate add-ons.
Does an add-on count against the product’s stock?
Section titled “Does an add-on count against the product’s stock?”No. Add-ons have no stock of their own and do not affect product stock.
