Typography

In the Typography tab you adjust the font sizes and weights for different text areas of your wiki.

Overview

The Typography tab allows you to customize the following text elements:

Element	Description
Title Size	Font size for article headings
Content Size	Font size for body text
Table of Contents Size	Font size for the automatic table of contents
Title Font Weight	How bold the headings appear

Each setting shows a live preview of the text with the current size.

Font Sizes

Title Size

What it does: Determines the font size for article titles and headings.

How to find it: Typography > Font Sizes > Title Size

Value range: 18px to 36px

Value	Effect
18-20px	Subtle, compact titles
22-24px	Standard size, easily readable
26-30px	Prominent titles
32-36px	Very large, dominant titles

Default: 18px

Tip

Larger titles appear more prominent but take up more space. Choose a size that fits the amount of your content.

Content Size

What it does: Determines the font size for body text in articles.

How to find it: Typography > Font Sizes > Content Size

Value range: 12px to 24px

Value	Effect
12-13px	Compact text, more content visible
14-16px	Easily readable on all devices (standard)
18-20px	Large text, easier to read
22-24px	Very large text, for accessible apps

Default: 14px

Live preview: Sample text shows you how the content looks with the selected size.

Good to Know

14-16px is the optimal range for most users. Smaller sizes can be hard to read on smartphones.

Table of Contents Size

What it does: Determines the font size for the automatically generated table of contents.

How to find it: Typography > Font Sizes > Table of Contents Size

Value range: 10px to 18px

10-11px	Very compact, saves space
12-13px	Standard, easily readable
14-16px	Larger, easier to tap
17-18px	Very large, for touch optimization

Default: 13px

Tip

The table of contents is a navigation aid and shouldn’t dominate. A slightly smaller size than body text is common.

Font Weight

Title Font Weight

What it does: Determines how bold the article titles and headings appear.

How to find it: Typography > Title Font Weight

Options:

Medium	500	Slightly enhanced
Semi-Bold	600	Significantly enhanced (default)
Bold	700	Strongly enhanced

Default: Semi-Bold (600)

The font weight is displayed as chips. Tap an option to select it. Each chip shows the font weight in its own representation.

Tip

Semi-Bold (600) or Bold (700) work well for headings as they stand out from body text. Normal (400) appears more subtle and modern.

Tips

Consider Hierarchy

The title size should be significantly larger than the content size so the hierarchy is clearly recognizable.

Test on Mobile

Test font sizes on a real smartphone. What looks good on desktop can be too small or too large on mobile.

Readability Over Design

When in doubt, choose larger fonts. Readability is more important than compact design - especially for knowledge content.

Consistency

Use similar font sizes as in other parts of your app for a uniform appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the best font size?

It depends on your target audience:

• Younger users: 14-16px content size is sufficient
• Older users: 16-18px for better readability
• General: 14-16px is a good compromise

How does font weight affect appearance?

• Normal (400): Modern, subtle, but titles stand out less
• Medium (500): Slight enhancement, good for subtle hierarchy

Can I use different fonts?

The font is set globally in the Theme Suite. In the Wiki Editor you only adjust size and weight.

Why does the preview look different than in the actual wiki?

The preview only shows sample text. In the actual wiki, the text in your articles will be displayed with the chosen settings. Proportions may appear slightly different depending on content length.
