Guard Service Editor
The Guard Service editor controls the Guard Service module – purpose-built for security operations. Your users manage branches, capture security incidents through a step-by-step patrol log and see all incidents in the info feed. You decide which incident types exist, which data is shown per branch and what happens automatically after an incident.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The editor is split into several areas:
What is the Guard Service module?
Section titled “What is the Guard Service module?”The Guard Service module is a complete tool for security operations. It’s a great fit for:
- Branch management – all guarded locations with contact data, notes and documents in one place
- Incident capture – document security incidents quickly and in a structured way via the patrol log
- Documentation & follow-up – all incidents neatly in the info feed, exportable as PDF or CSV
- Automatic escalation – relevant incidents automatically trigger emails or push notifications
The “patrol log” is the form for capturing security incidents. It runs through a wizard – a step-by-step assistant that guides you through the process.
Core concepts
Section titled “Core concepts”Branches
Section titled “Branches”A branch is a guarded location. It shows contact data (phone, email, website, opening hours), branch-specific notes and a button to open a patrol log directly. The source for address and contact data is the Locations module (optional).
Incident types & steps
Section titled “Incident types & steps”An incident type is the category of an event (e.g. “theft”). Each type has its own steps – the questions the wizard asks after this type is selected (e.g. “What was stolen?”). You define both in the Incident Types tab.
Completion actions
Section titled “Completion actions”After an incident is captured, completion actions appear as buttons – such as “Notify supervisor by email” or “Push to team”. They are pure triggers and are not stored persistently.
Opening the editor
Section titled “Opening the editor”- Open Edit Mode in your app (App Builder Tools)
- Go to Modules & Features
- Tap Guard Service, then Edit or Guard Service Editor
- The editor opens with the current settings
All changes are saved immediately to the local configuration and applied reactively in the frontend.
