Features

In the Occupancy Editor you define the default settings for the module. These act as a template for new resources and control display and notifications. All settings are grouped into three tabs: General, Booking Defaults and Notifications.

Adjustable later at any time

All values here are defaults. Per resource you can override the booking window and approval individually in the admin area.

Block coloring mode

Determines how occupancy blocks are visually distinguished in the utilization calendar:

Mode	Effect
By booker	Each person/account gets its own color
By team	Blocks are colored by sports team
By type	Blocks are colored by resource type

Choosing coloring

“By team” suits hall schedules with many teams, “By type” suits mixed facilities (hall, court, pool), “By booker” suits individual equipment usage.

”Booking Defaults” tab

These values are applied as a template to every newly created resource.

Booking window

The booking window defines when a resource is bookable at all. It is controlled per weekday:

1. Enable weekdays — Only enabled days appear as columns in the calendar

2. All day or time span — Default is all day (00:00–24:00); alternatively set from/to times

3. Applied as template — New resources start with these values and can be adjusted individually

All day as default

By default all weekdays are bookable all day. Restrict the window so the calendar only shows sensible slots and greys out off-hours (non-bookable) automatically.

Recurrence horizon

Fixed occupancies (e.g. weekly training) are generated on a rolling basis for the next 8 weeks and topped up when the calendar opens. Increase the horizon if you want to plan further ahead (up to 52 weeks).

”Notifications” tab

Three push types are admin-configurable. They are off by default and only appear when the Notifications module is active.

Reminder lead time

Notifications module required

If push types are enabled but the Notifications module is not active, the editor shows a hint with a direct link to activation. Only then are pushes actually sent.

Sensible combination

“New request” keeps approvers up to date, “Approval decision” informs requesters without follow-ups. The reminder reduces no-shows for reserved slots.

Resource settings (per resource)

Beyond the default templates, you configure each resource individually in the admin area:
