Patrol Log & Info Feed

This is how your users work with the Guard Service module day to day: they pick a branch, capture incidents via the patrol log and see all entries in the info feed.

All branches appear on an overview page (/guard-service/branches). Each branch shows its information such as phone, email, website and opening hours.

What your users do there:

  • Tap a branch to see more details
  • Create patrol-log entries directly for a branch
  • Work with different views: tiles, list or dropdown (depending on the editor setting)

When opening a single branch, the user sees:

  • All information stored for this branch (contact data, address, etc.)
  • Special notes that apply only to this branch
  • The Open patrol log button to capture a new incident

The patrol log is a 5-phase form for capturing security incidents. The user is guided step by step:

  1. Scan document – scan or photograph a document (e.g. a report). Optional – can be skipped.
  2. Relevance check – the app asks: “Is this incident security-relevant?” Yes = the incident is specially flagged and signaled to key people. No = a normal entry.
  3. Select incident type – choose the kind of incident (e.g. theft, vandalism). You define the available types in the Incident Types tab.
  4. Type-specific questions – depending on the chosen type, the app asks matching questions. These can be free-text questions or questions with predefined answers. Some questions may be required.
  5. Completion – the incident is saved, completion actions run (email, push) and the user can share the report or export it as PDF.

Phase 4 is flexible: depending on which incident types you create in the editor, different questions appear. See Incident Types.

In the info feed the user sees all captured incidents in a clear overview. There they can:

  • See incidents as a list
  • Filter by branch, type or date
  • Tap an incident to see all details and attachments
  • Export incidents (PDF or CSV)

In the info feed an incident can be selected and edited or deleted via its details – provided the user has the required permission. Scanned documents are stored together with the incident and can be opened as PDF in the detail view.
