Wiki Editor

The Wiki Editor gives you full control over your app’s wiki module. You determine which features are available, how articles are displayed and how it all looks.

The editor is divided into four sections (tabs):

The wiki is a knowledge base for your app. It’s perfect for:

  • Documentation - Guides and help articles
  • FAQ - Frequently asked questions and answers
  • Reference works - Glossaries, lexicons, product catalogs
  • Tutorials - Step-by-step guides with images

The wiki supports a block editor with various content types like text, headings, images, code, lists, quotes, callouts and tables.

  1. Open Edit Mode in your app (App Builder Tools)
  2. Go to Modules & Features
  3. Tap Wiki and then Edit or Wiki Editor
  4. The editor opens with the current settings

At the top you’ll find four tabs that you can switch between by tapping or swiping:

TabWhat you configure here
LayoutLayout type, homepage view, columns, spacing
AppearanceColors for light and dark mode
FeaturesWhich features are active (search, categories, tags…)
TypographyFont sizes and weights

All changes are saved automatically. You don’t need to do anything extra - as soon as you change something, it’s saved to the database.

The wiki offers four different layout types for the article overview:

LayoutDescription
CardsClear cards with preview image and summary
ListCompact list view for many articles
TreeHierarchical tree structure by categories
MagazineFeatured articles prominent, others in grid view

You can automatically transfer your global app theme colors to the wiki:

  1. Open the Wiki Editor
  2. Tap the palette icon in the top right (Apply App Theme)
  3. Confirm in the dialog
  4. Colors and corner radius from the Theme Suite are applied

This applies:

  • Background and surface colors
  • Text and secondary colors
  • Primary color for categories and accents
  • Secondary color for tags
  • Corner radius from the theme

The wiki supports separate colors for light and dark mode:

  1. Open the Appearance tab
  2. Use the toggle at the top to switch between Light Mode and Dark Mode
  3. Adjust the colors for each mode
  4. All changes are saved automatically

If you want to reset all settings:

  1. Tap the reset icon in the top right
  2. Confirm the warning
  3. All settings are reset to default values

Changes are saved automatically! As soon as you change something, it’s saved to the database.

Individual changes cannot be undone. However, you can reset to default settings or apply the app theme at any time.

It depends on your content:

  • Image-focused - Cards or Magazine
  • Text-focused - List
  • Hierarchically structured - Tree

The wiki must first be activated. Go to the Features tab and enable “Wiki enabled”.

By default, up to 500 articles are possible. The limit can be adjusted in the Features tab (10-1000 articles).
