Sports Types

In the Sports Types tab, you define which sports are available in your app. Each team is assigned to a sport type.

Sports define:

  • The Icon in the app
  • The number of players on the field
  • The Positions (e.g., goalkeeper, forward)
  • The Formations (e.g., 4-4-2, 4-3-3)
  • The Point unit (e.g., goal, point, basket)

These sports are available as templates and can be added with one click:

Since the 2026-04 release the lineup editor generates positions dynamically from the values you configure here:

  • Numeric formations (e.g. 4-4-2, 6-0, 5-1) are stacked line by line: the rearmost line near the own goal, the forwardmost line near the opponent’s goal, additional lines evenly spaced in between.
  • Goalkeeper is added automatically when Goalkeeper is enabled in the sport type dialog.
  • Named formations without numbers (e.g. Standard, Single, Double) are translated into a grid layout.
  • Position names on the markers are picked from the sport type’s Positions pool — keywords like Goalkeeper, Defender, Midfielder, Striker are matched first.

Sports and their properties can be maintained in multiple languages:

  1. Tap the language icon next to the name
  2. Enter translations for German and English
  3. Save the changes

This applies to:

  • Sport names
  • Point units
