App Builder Tools
The App Builder Tools are your central tool dashboard for designing and configuring your app. Here you’ll find all the important builders and editors in one place.
Access
Section titled “Access”You can access the App Builder Tools in two ways:
- Via the Settings Page: Tap “App Builder Tools” (only visible in App Builder Mode with Edit Mode enabled)
- Via the Toolbar: Tap the tools icon in the Edit Mode Toolbar
Features
Section titled “Features”The App Builder Tools are divided into four main areas:
Theme Suite Important
Section titled “Theme Suite ”The Theme Suite is the heart of visual design. Here you design:
- Colors - Primary, secondary, and background colors
- Typography - Fonts and font sizes
- Widget Themes - Detailed styling of all UI elements
- Dark Mode - Separate settings for dark mode
The Theme Suite is prominently placed at the beginning of the page, as it is the most frequently used tool.
Builder
Section titled “Builder”In the Builder section you’ll find tools for creating content:
Page Studio
Section titled “Page Studio”The Page Studio allows you to create your own pages with drag & drop:
- Add Widgets - Texts, images, buttons, and more
- Design Layout - Position and arrange widgets
- Use Templates - Use pre-made page layouts
- Live Preview - See changes immediately
Form Studio
Section titled “Form Studio”With the Form Studio you create dynamic forms:
- Field Types - Text, email, phone, dropdown, checkbox, and more
- Validation - Required fields and format checks
- Actions - What happens after submission
- Styling - Customize form appearance
Configuration
Section titled “Configuration”Modules & Features (Feature Gate)
Section titled “Modules & Features (Feature Gate)”The Feature Gate is your central control panel for all modules:
- Enable/Disable Modules - Determine which features are available in your app
- Filter & Search - Find modules quickly by industry, category, or status
- Dependencies - Automatic checking of required modules
- Favorites - Mark frequently used modules for quick access

Section titled “Developer”This section contains tools for developers and testing:

Section titled “Module Navigation”Shows all available modules and enables direct navigation:

Section titled “Frequently Asked Questions”Why don’t I see the App Builder Tools?
Section titled “Why don’t I see the App Builder Tools?”The App Builder Tools are only visible when:
- You are in App Builder Mode (not in Customer App Mode)
- Edit Mode is activated
What is the difference between Page Studio and Theme Suite?

Do I need to activate all modules in the Feature Gate?
Section titled “Do I need to activate all modules in the Feature Gate?”Are my changes saved automatically?
Section titled “Are my changes saved automatically?”Yes, all changes in the App Builder Tools are automatically saved in the local ISAR database. They take effect immediately and persist even after an app restart.
Can I export my configuration?
Section titled “Can I export my configuration?”Yes, through the Admin area you can export your complete app configuration and import it into other BLOCQ apps.
